Healing barrels, also known as healing barrels, or simply blue barrels, are Carriable Objects that are placed around the arena grounds. They release an healing zone upon being triggered.

Overview

Like any barrel, healing barrels are placed at random locations picked from a large set of fixed barrel locations specific to the arena. It is possible for no barrels to be present in a round. Contestants can pick up the barrel to carry it around the arena or throw it somewhere.

Effects

When the barrel is hit, shot, thrown or hit while holding it will immediately release a 3m healing zone that heals contestants for 10hp/s. Multiple overlapping Healing Zones do not add up their healing rates, so if a contestant is positioned on the overlap they keep being healed for 10hp/s.

While being inside the Healing Zone, contestants will see a transparent blue aura at the edge of their screens that indicates that they're being healed.

When the barrel hits the contestant directly, it heals them for 50 hp and then explodes into the Healing Zone at the point of impact.

Healing zone can pass through walls and every contestant, no matter the team, in the healing zone is being healed until they're staying inside.

The heal gained from the barrel is the same for all 3 classes.

Properties

Barrel

Destructible — Immediately destroyed upon receiving enough damage, resulting a 3m Healing Zone to apear on it's place.

Support — Hitting any contestant with the barrel directly restores them 50 health on hit immediately.

Usable by OpponentsAny contestant hit with Healing barrel, including the enemy, will get healed.

Trigger on Impact — Can fly for any amount of time and triggers when the projectile collides with a surface or contestant. For the Healing Barrel, this happens at the first impact, unless it was dropped by a contestant holding it.

Reshapeable — Can be reshaped by the Data Reshaper into a different Arena Carriable by contestants.

Not Interceptible — Cannot be removed by the APS Turret.

No Bounce — Destroyed immediately upon hitting anything (except after being dropped by a contestant).

Not Damaging — Hitting a contestant directly with the barrel does not deal damage.


Healing Zone

Support — On trigger leaves Healing Zone 3m in diameter that is not intercepted by structures and shields. It Heals everyone standing in the Healing Zone for 10hp/s.

Usable by OpponentsAny contestant, including the enemy, standing in the Healing Zone will get healed.

Limited Duration — Healing Zone lasts for 14 seconds.

Not Immobilizing — Does not stop affected contestants from moving, but they have to stay inside to receive healing.

No Structure Damage — Cannot be used to damage structures.

Strategy

  • Healing Barrels are great utility for teams that are expecting to be defending in stationary areas.
  • Healing from the Barrel can help a contestant that is trying to steal a Cashout.
  • Hitting teammates with the Barrel directly is a great way to quickly restore some of their missing health.
  • Healing received by a contestant from multiple Healing Zones does not stack together.
