Fangwai City 2030 was introduced in Season 9 and was the thirteenth Arena to be added. While Fangwai City is fictional, it is inspired by Chinese megacities and culture. The arena is designed around the juxtaposition of traditional Chinese architecture and hypermodern urban design. Fangwai is made up of three zones, with an elevated walkway connecting them.

Fangwai City is in the pair of maps that originally received Smooth Destruction with the launch of Season 9. The other being Monaco.
In Season 8, LEEK OF THE LAND charm was found as an easter egg. The map that Leek is holding a drawn map of Fangwai City, that has a path charted across the map which ends with X marked at the mega building in the middle of the map.
