Overview

The Glitch Grenade is an exclusive gadget for the Light Build. It is thrown and explodes after a short time, or when it impacts a Mesh Shield or Dome Shield. It then disrupts an opponent's screen and prevents them from using gadgets or specializations for a short time. Additionally, it can disable any utility that has already been placed by opponents, such as the Guardian Turret. Refer to: How to Deal with Turrets & How to Disrupt Abilities.

The grenade explodes 1.8 seconds after being thrown. The glitch effect requires line-of-sight between the exploded grenade and the player/utility object.

Uses & Interactions

The Glitch Grenade is a great counter to abilities such as the Healing Beam, as it provides an opening to attack while the enemy team is unable to be healed. Other breaches of defense include the disabling of the Guardian Turret, Mines, and any Reconnaissance. It is particularly effective at immobilizing Light Builds, neutralizing their mobility specializations such as the Evasive Dash, Grappling Hook, or Cloaking Device. Additionally, the Glitch Grenade proves to be a significant asset when countering the Mesh Shield, as it can create a vulnerable moment, allowing for precise targeting and potential elimination of the shielded opponent.

The APS Turret can also be disabled using Glitch Grenades, provided they explode just outside of its effective radius (approximately 1 to 2 meters outside the circle) and within line-of-sight.

The Glitch Grenade can affect the player throwing it, so care should be taken when using it. Teammates cannot be glitched by friendly fire.
