The BFR Titan (Magnum Research Biggest, Finest Revolver) is a Heavy class single action revolver that is designed for high damage at close-to-medium range, while remaining adequate at engagements over longer distances.

Usage

The BFR Titan can be selected as the weapon of any Heavy build loadout.

The trigger can be pulled to fire one bullet that damages an opponent, also dealing additional damage on headshots. The trigger must be released before pulling back the hammer and firing again. Aiming down sights increases the BFR Titan's accuracy. Moving decreases accuracy, especially when going airborne.

The BFR Titan reloads by inserting one round at a time, making its reload very slow. However, the reload can be interrupted before the magazine is full to reload less rounds.

The weapon automatically reloads when its magazine is empty, or the user can do a tactical reload before this point.

Properties

Weapon

Ranged — Strikes targets by aiming and firing at them from a distance.

Single Fire — Fires once when the trigger is pulled. The trigger must be released before firing again.

Aim Down Sights — Has the ability to aim down sights, significantly increasing accuracy. Iron sights or optics replace the crosshairs.

Round Reload — Inserts a single round on reload. Additional rounds will also start reloading automatically until the magazine is full or the animation is cancelled.

Unstable Accuracy — Suffers a significant decrease in accuracy while moving and while airborne.

Bullet

Hitscan — Uses a hitscan to fire rounds. The hitscan travels in a straight line, meaning there is no bullet drop. The direction will deviate from the crosshairs depending on accuracy.

Critical Hit — Critically hits on headshots, applying a damage multiplier (1.5x).

Mid Range Falloff — Deals reduced damage when hitting targets at a moderate distance (damage falloff begins at 25m).

Minor Structure Damage — Damages structures. Takes a very long time to break a concrete wall.

Guide

General Guide

The BFR Titan can be thought of as Heavy's version of the CB-01 Repeater with good range and great single shot damage. The BFR works better at long range due to its slightly higher base damage (90 vs. 84) and damage fall off multiplier (0.7 vs. 0.64) allowing the user to still meaningfully contribute to fights so long as they have a sight line and the skill to hit long range shots. The one disadvantage of this gun compared to the CB-01 is its lack of ammo (5 vs. 8 rounds) and a speed loader. However, this simply requires the user to take advantage of the segmented reload that the BFR provides by consistently reloading outside of combat.

Alternatives to the BFR Titan

While it is fun to carry the biggest iron in the arena, and it thrives in long-range arenas such as Monaco, SYS$HORIZON, and Kyoto in certain shorter-range urban arenas such as Bernal and New Vegas, it is recommended to utilize shorter-range weapons or weapons with more utility such as KS-23, .50 Akimbo, or even SA1216 should the user have the requisite skill with it.

Segmented Reload

The reload time can be expressed as 1.15+0.9x, where x=missing ammo1.

Missing ammo Time to completely reload
1 1.15s
2 2.05s
3 2.95s
4 3.85s
5 4.75s
