The C4 is a Heavy class mounted gadget which, when remotely detonated, creates an explosion that deals high damage and breaches structures.
Usage
The C4 can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Heavy build loadout.
The primary trigger can be used to toss the gadget a small distance. It will attach to the first surface it contacts.
Once the gadget is armed, the user can use the gadget's secondary trigger to detonate the explosive remotely, from any place at any time.
The gadget can also be retrieved to restore a charge, by interacting with it for a few moments while looking at it from up close.

Stats
Effects
The C4 can be deployed with a small throw to attach it to a nearby surface. The gadget will arm itself after a few moments. From this point on, it can be remotely detonated, causing it to explode. The explosion deals high damage to opponents in a large area and major damage to the surrounding structure, effectively creating a large hole.
If an opponent destroys the gadget, they become the user instead, meaning any damage it deals is attributed to them.

Guide
Strengths
- The C4 can be planted on or around a Cashout Station to defend it. When detonated, it will break the floor the Cashout Station is on and drop it to a floor below.
- A second C4 can be placed on the floor below the Cashout Station to force it to drop even further. This tactic is called a Double Drop.
- The massive amounts of damage the C4 does means that if enemies are hit by it they are guaranteed to be very low on health.
Weaknesses
- The C4 has an arming time, and so cannot be used immediately in the middle of combat, rather requiring some sort of setup to be used for the purpose of damaging opponents.
- If the C4 is detonated before it is fully armed it will only deal a fraction of the full damage it can deal.
- The C4 can be disabled by a nearby Glitch Grenade or Glitch Barrel triggering, or reshaped by the Data Reshaper.
Tactics
- When a C4 is planted on a Cashout Station to protect it, it is worth noting that the explosion will not deal damage if the C4 is on one side of the station and the target is on another side.
- Environmental damage does not have damage line-of-sight checks however, so knocking a Cashout Station over so the C4 is completely hidden from view can be used to force a surprise drop.
- The C4 can be combined with other explosives such as Pyro Mines or Barrels to do massive amounts of burst damage, with the manual detonation starting a chain reaction of multiple explosions. Make sure to place the explosives next to the C4 for maximum damage.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP can be earned by damaging opponents with the C4, and more significantly, by damaging structures with it.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
