The known story (lore) of THE FINALS so far.

Before MultiCo's Ownership

At some point, THE FINALS, a dynamic virtual game show, was established by its original creator.

During or prior to 1982, MultiCo was founded.[1] Over time, MultiCo grew in size and took control of several other companies operating in the Meatspace, slowly becoming a large, powerful conglomerate.[2] ISEUL-T, HOLTOW, and ENGIMO eventually became wholly owned subsidiaries of MultiCo.[3]

In 1982, MultiCo published version 76.3.17 of their terminal-based operating system, MuCoDOS.[1] MuCoDOS was used internally and/or at some point distributed to other companies like HOLTOW for operational purposes.[4]

MultiCo's first involvement in THE FINALS came in the form of their "Early-Talent Program", which sought to create hyper-optimized super contestants, like Ursa.[2][5] Ursa was a dominant contestant for years, but supposedly lost a fateful Grand Major final to Odilia after consuming too much OSPUZE.[6]

MultiCo eventually took the opportunity to purchase THE FINALS itself, beginning its ownership of the game show.[2]

MultiCo's Ownership

Season 1

Season 1 was MultiCo's first season as owners of THE FINALS. It saw the game show become more commercialized, with increased focus on its sponsors, and saw the introduction of commentators Scotty (a former contestant) and June.[2] By this point, virtual reality was where most people spent their time, and THE FINALS had established itself as the greatest virtual game show on the planet.
