MultiCo's logo

MultiCo Entertainment Holdings is a large conglomerate that owns and controls THE FINALS game show, as well as multiple of its Sponsors. HOLTOW, ISEUL-T, and ENGIMO are all wholly owned subsidiaries of the company.

Story

At some point prior to or during 1982, MultiCo was founded. Over time, it grew in size and took ownership of several companies selling products in the Meatspace.

MutliCo's first involvement in THE FINALS was the creation of the Early Talent Program (ETP). Some time later, the company took the opportunity to buy the game show itself. Season 1 was the start of MultiCo's ownership and saw the broadcast become larger and more commercialized, as well as the introduction of commentators Scotty and June.

In most likely the 1980s, MultiCo developed an operating system called MuCoDOS. It features a command line interface similar to that of the Commodore Amiga. The system may have been, or still is, involved in operating parts of the game show.

Ahead of CNS's major attack on the game show in Season 2, a member named "4RCU5" leaked a confidential and heavily censored document belonging to MultiCo, the content of which is still not fully understood. Following the subsequent break-in, MultiCo enlisted the services of VAIIYA to attempt to contain and remove CNS's presence.

In the aftermath, MultiCo sent representative Marcel (nicknamed "Merciless Marcel") to speak to the sponsors about drawing attention off of CNS and back onto them. It became apparent over time however that the drama and antics of CNS had attracted attention on the show, which MultiCo leaned into for Season 7.

Other Information

MuCoDOS

MuCoDOS interface

MuCoDOS is an operating system owned and likely developed by MultiCo. It appears to date to the 1980s, and bears resemblance to the command-line interface of the Commodore Amiga. "MuCo" is short for "MultiCo" and "DOS" is short for "Disk Operating System."

When selecting the credits from the main menu of THE FINALS, the MuCoDOS interface briefly appears. The words "LOAD CREDITS" are typed as a command, the screen flashes, and the credits screen starts. At the top left of the interface is the name "MuCoDOS."

Certain information about the operating system is listed below the title. The copyright is set in 1982, the same year that the Commodore 64 was released. As expected, the owner of the operating system is MultiCo. The current version number is listed next, and lastly, the date that the current Season of THE FINALS launched. Between Season 2 and Season 3, the version number changed from 76.3.17 to 76.4.01.

MultiCo NeuroVisor5000

The MultiCo NeuroVisor 5000

MultiCo markets and sells their own virtual reality headset called the 'MultiCo NeuroVisor 5000', possibly one installment in a chain of commercial devices. The visor is advertised as capable of transporting the users "anywhere", although particular focus is put on entering THE FINALS as a contestant.

MultiCo's NeuroVisor 5000 let's you go anywhere...

Do anything... Be anyone...
But why be anyone... When you can be...SOMEONE.
Take your place in the spotlight of the biggest gameshow on earth.
Rise above everyone else, and be who you were meant to be.

Brodcast interruption

In the Season 11 introduction cinematic, the message "CHANNEL CENSORED" "REASON: ANTI CORPORATE PROPAGANDA" appears momentarily alongside MultiCo's NeuroVisor 5000 commercial.

Leaked Document

Both pages of a confidential MultiCo document were posted to the CNS subreddit by the user "4RCU5." The first was leaked on March 3, 2024; much of the page's text is censored with black bars, though certain words have been left visible, revealing some information about the contents of the document. The second page was posted days later with similar levels of censorship.
