The Nullifier is a Light class gadget that can zap a contestant to nullify them.
Usage
The Nullifier can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Light build loadout.
The gadget can be held and fired like a weapon. The gadget has stable accuracy even while moving. Aiming down sights is possible but will not increase accuracy.
The trigger can be pulled to fire an electric pulse that will nullify the first opponent it hits.
When a new charge of the Nullifier is ready, it needs to be reloaded like a weapon, unlike most gadgets. The reloading animation is automatically started once a charge is ready and the gadget is held.

Effects
The Nullifier can be deployed by firing it from a short distance. If the electric pulse hits a contestant, they become nullified for a short duration.
While nullified, the affected contestant becomes transparent and cannot receive damage until the effect ends. Similarly, they cannot block hitscan bullets for teammates, but can block projectiles. As the effect nears its end, the contestant emits an escalating audio cue and gradually brightens, signaling that the nullification is about to expire. Nullified contestants can still move normally and reload their Weapon, but they are unable to perform the following actions:
- Fire or otherwise use their Weapon
- Use any equipped Gadgets or their Specialization
- Gadgets that require reloading, such as the RPG-7, also cannot be reloaded
- Perform most actions requiring the Interact keybind, including but not limited to opening Vaults, stealing a Cashout Station, moving through Gateways, or reviving contestants
- Any interaction already in progress is immediately interrupted when the Nullifier effect is applied
- Grab onto a Zipline, though any active zipline ride will not be interrupted
- Emote, play a sound, or use a spray
While nullified contestants are immune to all forms of damage, they are still affected by certain movement-impairing effects, such as the pull of a Gravity Vortex or the lift from an Anti-Gravity Cube.

Guide
Strengths
- Hitting a contestant with the Nullifier instantly stops any ongoing interactions, including a revive in progress or Cashout Station steal.
- Nullified contestants are effectively removed from the fight until the effect expires; their only viable actions are repositioning. Since they cannot use their Gadgets or Specialization, it can create an opening to exploit.
Weaknesses
- Requires accuracy to administer. Like most Gadgets, the charge is consumed even if the user misses.
- Using the Nullifier on an incorrect contestant or with bad timing can lead to missed opportunities, such as nullifying a contestant who's elimination is already imminent.
- This can easily allow the target to run or escape, since they cannot receive damage while nullified.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP can be earned by striking an opponent with the Nullifier.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
| Source | XP Reward |

Trivia
- The Nullifier takes visual inspiration from the Axon Enterprise Taser 7.
