The Breach Drill is a Medium class gadget that can be attached to a surface to flash the other side before detonating to breach it.

Usage
The Breach Drill can be selected as one of three Gadgets of any Medium build loadout.
Once attached to a surface, the Breach Drill will begin drilling through. When completed, a flash will blind opponents on the other side, followed by an explosion that destroys the targeted surface.
Breach drill can be placed on top of Goo, but it only slightly damages it, and doesn't blind contestants on the other side.

Guide
Strengths
- Breach Drill is a multipurpose gadget that can simultaneously function in the same roles as the Dematerializer and Flashbang.
- Breach Drill is one of the few arena destruction tools available to Medium build contestants.
- It can trigger other explosives , if they’re in close proximity to its explosion.
- The Drill is a physical object that blocks paths and bullets and can be climbed. It also means it can fall to the ground if the wall is destroyed or dematerialized.
- Due to it being placed directly on surfaces rather than thrown, it lends itself to plays requiring precise placement of explosives or flashbangs.
Weaknesses
- While the gadget can serve as a replacement for the Dematerializer and Flashbang, it has only one charge and a longer cooldown than either of them.
- Blinding from the Breach Drill is not unidirectional. It works the same way as a Flashbang, so if contestants break or dematerialize the wall, it will flash everyone in the line of sight.
- Due to the controlled nature of the detonation, the destructive potential of the drill is lesser than options such as Explosive Canisters.
- The sound of the drill is audible from the opposite side of the wall, giving enemies a warning prior to the flashbang and detonation.
Tactics
- Breach Drill is a very effective tool for closed spaces. It shines the most in buildings or areas with a lot of cover, both for its blinding and destructive capabilities. But due to its single charge, long cooldown, and limited usefulness in open areas, it can be more situational than other loadout options.
- The short detonation time allows for impromptu use in deterring attackers: it can be used to quickly create gaps between the user and melee users, or blind attackers pursuing players attempting to retreat into structures.
- While it isn’t as strong as the other available options, the versatile nature of the Breach Drill means contestants can use it in creative ways:
- The Breach Drill can complement teams focused on close range fights; particularly with Melee weapons like the Riot Shield, as it can block the blinding from the drill.
- It’s helpful for denying cashout steals from beneath the cashboxes, especially when paired with certain types of Mines.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP for the Breach Drill can be earned by blinding opponents.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
