True Sight is a Light Build specialization that temporarily alters the user's vision, highlighting contestants and deployables in their team colors and allowing the user to see through smoke and dust.

Usage

True Sight can be selected as one of four specializations of any Light Build loadout.

The specialization key can be used to toggle True Sight on. It remains active for up to ?? seconds, after which it is automatically disabled to recharge. It can also be disabled early by toggling it again.

Effects

True Sight can be activated to grant its user temporary increased clarity. Most of the screen will be a blue color, whereas significant objects are highlighted in their respective team colors. These objects include contestants, deployables, cash boxes, cashout stations and a few others.

It also allows its user to see past vision-obstructing objects, such as smoke clouds, but also general dust and debris caused by destruction and explosions, making for a clearer view of the area.

Opponents are fully visible even if they are under the effects of the Cloaking Device or Vanishing Bomb.

Self Targeted — Can be activated to apply an effect to the contestant that used it.

Toggle — Can be enabled and disabled by reactivating.

Single Charge — Can be used once, then recharges automatically over the cooldown time.

No Disarm — Does not stop the user from using their other items while the specialization is active.

Effect

Visibility — Affects the line of sight of the user and/or opponents. Changes the user's viewing mode to True Sight vision.

Not Permanent — Disappears by itself after enough time has passed.

Guide

Strengths

• True Sight is an effective counter to contestants using the Cloaking Device or Vanishing Bomb, as it reveals them to the True Sight user.
• In confined areas with lots of explosions, dust clouds and other vision-obstructing particles, True Sight often provides the most value.

Weaknesses

• True Sight cannot see gas, which can potentially cause the user to walk into a damaging area unintentionally.
• True Sight has limited range and will not highlight far-away opponents.

Tactics

• True Sight can be combined with the Smoke Grenade, as it is able to see through the smoke.

Trivia

• True Sight is a rework of the Thermal Vision gadget, which was temporarily disabled in 8.0.0.
